Antonio Forcione (Italy)
„When we first played together, it felt less like a collaboration and more like a conversation.“
— Antonio Forcione
Music transcends words. It carries memory, emotion, and imagination in a language we all understand. With Storytellers, Antonio Forcione and Cenk Erdoğan invite you into that language — one shaped by the strings of two guitars, a shared Mediterranean sky, and a friendship that spans decades.
More than twenty years ago, they met in Istanbul
one as a teacher, the other a student — both drawn to the same impulse: to tell stories through music. Life led them in different directions until their paths crossed again in 2019. From the first notes, it was clear: their musical connection was instant and deep.
Together, they create a unique sound: earthy and ethereal, rooted and exploratory. Antonio, called “the Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar,” transforms his instrument into a percussive, melodic storyteller, while Cenk introduces the rich microtonal language of Anatolia through his fretless guitar, evoking ancient echoes in a modern voice.
Let the stories unfold
Each track in this album carries a personal story — fragments of childhood, reflections on love, cultural memory, longing, resilience, and joy. Some are gentle whispers; others are fiery dialogues. But all of them speak to the universal experiences that make us human.
